I intend to cover Munnar, Thekkady (Periyar), Kumarakom (and Alleppey) on a trip to Bangalore. After a trip to Kanyakumari and back to Bangalore. Please can someone me the right solution?

There are several ways to make this trip. If you want the entire drive, you need a website that is a point on the road very efficiently, similar to Mapquest or YahooMap and so on. I try the link below to your advantage.
If I am to do this trip, here's what I would do:
Take advantage of airline tickets to Santiago, Cochin and back. India, Jet Airways and Kingfisher - all fly direct flights between Bangalore and Cochin, and the flight lasts about an hour and by booking in advance through the pages that you get good http://india. makemytrip.com / prices.
From the airport of Cochin, you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi car and driver for the number of days that you take travel to these places and a first trip to Munnar and Thekkady (it's about 2 to 2.30 hours per line -) 120 km, Alleppey is again about 3 hours Thekkady / Munnar. (180 km) you can squeeze even a trip to the beach at Kovalam in Trivandrum on the way to Kanyakumari. (Trivandrum is around3 hours from Alleppey Kanyakumari and from there about an hour) up to an hour. The distance is about 240 km from Alleppey and Kanyakumari.
Most trips are in the NH 47 highway. I have these roads on a motorcycle and a car and the road is often not very good and fast traffic is rare in most parts of the road

Bangalore Madurai can fly and the rest by car or bus. No trains between Madurai to Thekkady leg.
